Our friends Dave and Deb at The Planet D recently took their Pocket Wifi device with them to Ireland. Read about their journey and experience in their Tep Wireless Review. They took Instas, wrote tweets, and blogged about what they were experiencing from a remote outpost off the coast of Ireland called Skellig Michael. They even made multiple headlines in Irish newspapers because of their public display and documentation of the voyage travelling through the #WildAtlanticWay on social media! Way to go guys 🙂
The couple described their experience with Tep:
“We make phone calls from skype using our device, we update blog posts and upload photos, we check email and we chat on social media. We love the flexibility. We didnt’ have to wait to get back to our hotel to check or send emails and we didn’t have to worry whether or not wifi was included at our hotel. We found that while wifi was often included in the places we stayed at on the Wild Atlantic Way, it was very slow and frustrating.
My favourite story of using our portable hotspot was while driving through the Ring of Kerry. We take part in TravelSkills on Twitter every Friday with JohnnyJet and ChrisMcGinnis and while Dave drove, I had my laptop open in the front seat taking part in an online chat. I was sending out photos in real time and having a blast showing off Ireland while sitting in my car.”
To Dave and Deb, it sounds like you guys had a blast, and here at Tep we are proud to offer a service that can enhance people’s travelling experiences.
